Amazon cart “saved for later” items gone?

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve been using that “save for later” feature in my Amazon cart for years, and I frequently go back days or weeks later and purchase items I’ve set aside. One of the best reasons to do it that way is that Amazon provides messaging in the cart when an item’s price changes, whether it increases or decreases. So it’s a great way to check in on what items are on sale and go ahead and pick them up. But today when I logged in, my cart appeared to be empty.

I sent Amazon customer service an email about it, but I’m curious: does anyone else out there use that feature, and if so, is your cart empty too?

What gives? That’s a pretty jarring experience for me as a ridiculously loyal Amazon customer. If they’ve done away with it for whatever reason, I’m going to have to rethink my loyalty to their site.

      Mine seems to have been cleared out as well… Pity.

      This isn’t just a “pity,” this is a f***ing living nightmare. I’ve been storing 100’s of items (books, cd’s, etc.) in my shopping cart for years - a revolving basket that I “Save for Later” or “Buy” depending on circumstances.
      Now, it’s all gone. Please, if you have a fix for this… post it immediately. Thanks!

      Eugene, a friendly, but befuddled Amazon service rep. said they’re upgrading the software. I think at this point, we all need to focus our collective thoughts and prayers, not to world peace, which is an admirable cause, but to the sincere hope that the software coders restore our besmirched cart contents at the end of their upgrade. Please, Lord, if you’re listening, give me a signal!

      I think at this point, we all need to focus our collective thoughts and prayers, not to world peace, which is an admirable cause, but to the sincere hope that the software coders restore our besmirched cart contents at the end of their upgrade.       How do you deal with 300 items in your Saved Items? There is no sorting, only 10 are shown to a page, when you delete anything from anywhere in the list you end up back on page 1, there’s no way to tag or file items in folders. And to top it off, it’s separate from all of Amazon’s other confusing lists, like wish lists. Amazon should either develop the Saved Items into something usable, or limit it to 10 items.

      I’m annoyed that I cannot purchase more than 100 items at a time. I’m a book reseller and I buy my books on the Amazon Marketplace. I used to buy several hundred books at a time, but now Amazon only lets me buy 100 books at a time. This is a major burden on my business model and I hope Amazon fixes it, or I won’t be able to use Amazon as much and go directly to sellers.
