One massive failing is that there no longer appears to be any sort by price/popularity/date option.

It also now only shows 3 pages of results and no longer even indicates how many items are available.

So totally screwed up.

Unless they have an alternative text-based navigation system that will work with the tab key, it appears no one at Amazon is even *thinking* of accessibility.

Hover-over-graphics havigation tools don't work work for blind people using screen-readers, or for many of the assistive devices used by people with mobility disorders.

[...] The Bee Hive: “So far, I think it’s pretty slick. They have an amazing complex information architecture and they managed to simplify it about as well as I can imagine doing. The horizontal features scale up and down pretty well. My only complaint is with the drop-down navigation that relies on hovering over an arrow instead of hovering over the whole nav item — it’s unnecessarily taxing to mouse over such a small target.” [...]

Absolutely no idea. Wanna try deleting cookies and reloading a few times to see if you get a redesigned version? :)

The top drop downs trigger on the arrow but stay open if you hover over the words too, so it's not too bad.

I've never liked the side-style menus though, as I find myself moving the mouse to the menu and invariably hit the option above or below before I make it.

Cool! Is this for the entire amazon world, or just for the U.S. one (i.e., amazon.com)?
