Picked a fine time to leave me

I keep forgetting to mention that the guy who’s painting the tippy-top of the front porch (which I’m thrilled Karsten isn’t going to do himself) is the son of the guy who wrote (co-wrote?) “Lucille.”

My dad used to play that song way back when. I always thought the lyric was “400 children out a cropping the field.”

Right before my wife and I got married my soon-to-be father-in-law left my soon-to-be mother-in-law and married the woman who co-wrote “All My Exes Live in Texas” I guess that’s why she moved to Tennessee!
