Moody Bluegrass
I’m just now getting around to listening to “Moody Bluegrass: A Nashville Tribute to the Moody Blues,” which I got from the library a week or so ago. Harley Allen, a singer-songwriter I know, is one of the featured vocalists on the CD. He sings the cover of “Your Wildest Dreams” and he handles it so nicely. The cover of “Nights in White Satin” with Alison Krauss on backing vocals is lovely, too.
I’m not really a bluegrass fan, but this is really different and pretty.

Ooh. Request this as soundtrack for next Kate-’n'-Q’s Pizza Place protoparty?

Will be happy to accomodate, although, assuming Karsten is present, I think we’ll have to convince him.
I’ll probably just burn you a CD of it instead.

A few weeks ago I heard “Legend of a Mind” on KFOG. It’s on my list of things to listen to someday.

Didn’t realize Karsten was a non-’grasser :-). I’d love a CD, but don’t want to trespass on your respect for working musicians and copyright issues. Maybe we can bribe Karsten with bourbon?
