My Clie died on this trip, apparently. I know what I happened, or at least I think I know. I was checking voicemail on my cell phone as I rushed between sessions at this conference and when I was done, I quite literally dropped my phone into my backpack... and heard a loud smack of hard plastic against hard plastic. The phone hit my Clie, and ever since then, the Clie won't power on at all. The cell phone appears to be unaffected, but I couldn't care less about that -- it's over two years old and I'm due for a free replacement from Sprint anyway. When I whined about it to Karsten, he shrugged and said he thought I was planning on buying a Treo anyway. Hee! I wasn't <i>planning</i> on it, exactly, but I guess that wouldn't be such a bad outcome. But in the meantime, I have no digital camera! And I have no handheld calendar! Or phonebook! Or digital memo pad! Or or or or! (I haven't been without a PDA since I got my first one nine years ago. It's quite an adjustment.) I wish I could! My Clie died on this trip, apparently.
