‘Tis the season… for birthday parties
Well, that was fun! We went to a coworker’s birthday party at Rumours Wine Bar in the up-and-coming area of 12th Avenue South. Karsten slipped out at one point and checked out The Art House next door, and I went to find him and understood why he’d lingered — it’s a great art space. One of the few good places to see contemporary local artists on display.
The only downside to being out on 12th South tonight was being reminded that we’re not moving to that area. Or at least, not immediately. Maybe it’ll happen sooner or later.
At any rate, it was a fun party. And some of those folks will be at my birthday party tomorrow night, too, just a little ways down the street at Mafiaoza’s. Yay!
And then it’s off to Chicago on Sunday. And more birthday parties! (My dad’s birthday is Tuesday, mine is Thursday.) Actually, I don’t know how many parties we’ll really have, but there sure are plenty of birthdays to go around.
