It’s hopeless.
I tried, I really did. But I cannot seem to get through the backlog of friends’ LJ entries I have missed in the past few weeks of being completely overwhelmed with everything.
I shall endeavor to do better.
But for now, I’ll note that:
- I got back from Chicagoland the day after Labor Day and got swallowed up by work that was overdue and piling up.
- I went to Louisiana last week on business and spent all my time either in the hospital I was visiting or in my hotel room, working.
- I’m now planning a trip to Baltimore in October for a cousin’s wedding, and not looking forward to it. But my dad wants everyone to be there, so I’ll be there.
I’m excited about the new kitten (two weeks and she’ll be here!). I’ve decided to stop running for a few weeks to try and let my hip heal again. I have a hair appointment for Saturday so someone who knows what she’s doing can maybe help me make sense of my cut and color. I’m looking forward to my 7-year anniversary with Karsten this weekend and his *cough*cough* birthday next week.
It’s a hectic time. ![]()

If you’ll have any extra time, let me know and we’ll see if we can arrange a bit of a wombat event.

Oh, cool! I’d love that. I think we’ll have some time on Sunday evening, and we were thinking of heading into DC. Do you think folks would be interested in a partners-inclusive thing on a Sunday evening?

I think they would be interested. Especially if we can do it in DC which is reasonably central.

Excellent. I’ve mentioned it to Karsten and he’s game, too. I’ll mention it on WomBAT.
