When I started swimming at the first of the year, my goal was to be competing in a year. I was sidelined in March with my shoulder and was hoping it would mend on it's own. I've tried about once a month to get back in the water, with almost immediate onset of pain.

I went to the doc Tuesday and he gave me a trigger point injection. I'm hoping (fingers XX'd) that will fix the problem and I can resume. There is a Masters Swim program starting up either this month or next through the Cville Parks and Rec and I want to participate in it. In the meantime, I'll work on stretching and walking to build my lung capacity, efficiency, and stamina.
