I recently tried to go somewhere else other than my normal hairdresser, because I was getting up in the $60 range for just a cut and she always wanted to color it too. I asked for recommendations for a local group and someone said "Supercuts" and I just about ran screaming from the computer. Been there, done that, cried for days.

I wish I were up for cutting my own. I used to always do it when it was short, but now that it's long I'm afraid of ruining it. I think it's back to the pricy hairdresser for me anyway - I didn't hit it off with the new girl very well.

I'd freak out if I found a real Kate Spade at a thrift store. I have a bit of a Kate fetish. I think I have around 5 right now. I've only ever paid full price for one though.

My best thrift store find was a pair of Ferragamo flats not in my size for $2.00. I turned around and sold them on ebay for $45.00. I *heart* ebay.

Woo hoo! Score!

I need to go somewhere to thrift where they actually buy Coach handbags to begin with. ;-)

I just got a Supercuts-style haircut- I was resisting and resisting, but my ends were split wayyy up. It's not so bad, but I was dilligent and it was only a trim. Usually I'm with you (though my haircuts are more like $40-50 than $100). Unfortunately, there is something called poverty...

Your haircut looks great, but $60-100?? Eesh--didn't cost me that much with a long-hair dye job, and on its own it's $35.

I'm going to miss the woman who cuts my hair. (I can't do mine. I've tried--I end up with a bush on my head.) I like that she's the sole proprietor of a woman-owned business, and it's not easy to find someone who's good at curly hair.
