Selling a domain name?

I got an offer to buy kathleen.net, and even though I hadn’t been thinking of selling it, I don’t mind the idea of making some money. Her offer was only $300, which is certainly more than I’ve paid for it, and more than covers the rest of the registration term, but doesn’t seem like quite enough to motivate me to go through the hassle.

Would it be unrealistic, do you think, to hold out for more?

Do you think you would ever get more - basically decide what it is worth to you

How about asking *her* for more?

Well, that’s what I meant, really. As in, state a higher figure and hold my breath. ;-)
That’s what I ended up doing. I found a site that does free domain name appraisals and it estimated kathleen.net’s value at between $800 and $1000. So I asked her if it would be worth $800, and I’m waiting for her response.

We’re up to $500 now, and I’m asking for indefinite access to the kate@kathleen.net and kateo@kathleen.net email addresses. If she agrees to those terms, we may just have a deal. :-)
